Ms. Schott (Marge Schott) was a controversial women who's business was part of the mainly male organization of professional baseball.
During her lifetime she showed her support of many programs in Cincinnati, this philanthropy has continued after her death in 2004.
Because of her love for her former academy, Sacred Heart which closed in the 1970's, she became a very large supporter of Saint Ursula Academy, one of the cities finest, female private Catholic high schools. Her support was reflected with not only her time, spirit, but financially as well. In addition to SUA, she supported many other schools in the city.
Saint Ursula Academy requested that Ms. Schott be painted in her youth as the young vital woman she was. Her portrait will hang in Schott Hall. |
