Portraits are approximately 80% to life-size, with the exception of corporate executives. Smaller paintings are available upon request. There is a 20% discount for each additional figure in a painting as added to the original cost. Prices do not include extreme photo measures, travel expenses or applicable taxes. In some cases additional frame charges may be added based on your personal taste. Please note this applies solely to oils, pastels do not include framing.

I work from life and photographs which I shoot for reference to be coupled with color sketches. I will consider existing photographs (as in a posthumous portrait) but will base this on the quality of the reference provided.

Our initial contact; in person, by phone or via e-mail we will discuss such matters as the size of the painting, the setting and clothing options. A schedule for sittings and/or photography will be developed; a deposit of 40% is due at this time.

When coming together for sketches and reference photography it is important that your bring a number of outfits that you feel are complimentary to you as a person and make you feel your best. I will help you decide on the final choice. This will also apply to the final composition and reference material, your input is valued but the decision will be based on my studies and expertise - remember this is far more than a photograph.
